A BIG THANK YOU TO THE 2023 KIDDING INTERNS

Each kidding season, I allow qualified individuals to come to my Texas ranch without charge and stay on site for a minimum of seven (7) consecutive days as Kidding Interns. They monitor the pregnant does 24/7 and do everything necessary to achieve safe kiddings, including getting up in the middle of the night if a problem is anticipated or arises.

This is the only way to learn kidding.

How to handle kidding and the problems that come with it cannot be taught in a classroom.

I want to thank the 2023 "class" of Kidding Interns for the wonderful job they did: Seth Cross of Texas and Susan Ebert of Texas (both of whom participated again) and Cory Manuel of Arkansas. It was a particularly stressful kidding year, presenting many opportunities to learn new techniques. It happens occasionally, and that is how we learn.

Persons interested in participating in a Kidding Internship in the spring of 2024 should contact me in February 2024 at onioncrk@centex.net. I schedule kidding to begin around March 15 of each year, but the does don't tell me the precise day they will begin kidding, so some flexibility on that date is required.
